Technical note
This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich-CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Mouse S100A9. Samples or Standards are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Mouse S100A9 and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Mouse S100A9, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear luminescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer at 425nm. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Mouse S100A9. You can calculate the concentration of Mouse S100A9 in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.

View target guide

S100A9 identifies S100 calcium binding protein A9 in Homo sapiens (Human). This target record connects NCBI Gene 6280, UniProtKB P06702 and related ABMIUM catalogue products.

Biological function: S100A9 is a calcium-binding S100-family protein that can form homo- and heterocomplexes, notably with S100A8. It participates in intracellular calcium-linked regulation and extracellular innate immune and inflammatory responses, including antimicrobial activity.
