FCER2, also known as CD23 or FcεRII, is the low-affinity receptor for IgE. It is particularly associated with B cells and has important roles in B-cell growth and differentiation and in the regulation of IgE production. CD23 is a type II transmembrane protein that can also be released as a soluble form.
