Plasminogen (PLG) is a circulating extracellular zymogen that is converted to plasmin, a serine protease central to fibrin breakdown and extracellular matrix remodelling. Proteolytic processing of plasminogen can also generate angiostatin fragments; the kringle 1–3 region has anti-angiogenic activity through inhibition of endothelial cell proliferation.
This Boster Bio Human Angiostatin Kringle 1–3/PLG PicoKine® ELISA kit is designed to quantify human PLG-related angiostatin kringle 1–3 using an anti-human PLG pre-coated microplate, a human PLG standard corresponding to the kringle 1–3 region, and a biotinylated anti-human PLG detection antibody.
