About IL3

Target information is kept separate from product-level validation so you can review the biology and the reagent evidence independently.

Biology

Biological function

IL3 is a cytokine secreted principally by activated T lymphocytes and also by mast and other cells. It supports production and differentiation of haematopoietic progenitors and can activate mature basophils, eosinophils and monocytes through an IL3 receptor complex.

Experimental context

Research context

IL3 is widely studied in haematopoiesis, myeloid differentiation, cytokine signalling, mast-cell and granulocyte biology. Reagent selection should consider species, cell type, sample type, assay format, application and supporting validation.
