About IL21

Target information is kept separate from product-level validation so you can review the biology and the reagent evidence independently.

Biology

Biological function

IL21 is an immunoregulatory cytokine produced mainly by activated CD4-positive T-cell subsets and natural killer T cells. Through its receptor complex it influences proliferation, differentiation and effector functions across B cells, T cells, natural killer cells and other immune populations.

Experimental context

Research context

IL21 is widely studied in adaptive immunity, T-cell and B-cell differentiation, antibody responses, natural-killer-cell biology and tumour immunology. Reagent selection should consider species, immune-cell context, sample type, assay format, application and supporting validation.
