P63-α (3F11) Maus-mAb ist ein Antikörper von ELK Biotechnology für Forschungsabläufe mit P63-α (3F11).
p63 kann p53-responsive Gene und Apoptose induzieren, Mutationen von p63 führen selten zu Tumoren. Forscher beobachten häufig eine Amplifikation des p63-Gens bei Plattenepithelkarzinomen der Lunge, des Kopfes und des Halses. Das p63-Gen enthält eine alternative Transkriptionsinitiationsstelle, die ein 40 kDa großes δNp63 ohne die Transaktivierungsdomäne ergibt, und alternatives Spleißen am Carboxyterminus ergibt die α-, β- und γ-Isoformen.
