Bcl-2 Mouse mAb ist ein Antikörper von ELK Biotechnology für Forschungsabläufe, die Bcl-2 betreffen.
BCL2 ist ein integrales Protein der äußeren mitochondrialen Membran, das den apoptotischen Tod einiger Zellen, wie z. B. Lymphozyten, blockiert. Eine konstitutive Expression von BCL2, wie im Falle einer Translokation von BCL2 zum Ig-Schwerkettengenlokus, wird als Ursache des follikulären Lymphoms angesehen. BCL2 unterdrückt Apoptose in einer Vielzahl von Zellsystemen, einschließlich faktorabhängiger lymphohämatopoetischer und neuraler Zellen. Es reguliert den Zelltod, indem es die mitochondriale Membranpermeabilität steuert.
