Survivin, auch bekannt als baculovirales Inhibitor-of-Apoptosis-Repeat-enthaltendes 5 oder BIRC5, ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das BIRC5-Gen kodiert wird. Survivin gehört zur Familie der Inhibitoren der Apoptose (IAP). Das Survivin-Protein hemmt die Caspase-Aktivierung und führt somit zu einer negativen Regulation der Apoptose oder des programmierten Zelltods.
