PGP (Phosphoglykolatphosphatase) gehört zur HAD-ähnlichen Hydrolase-Superfamilie. Es ist ein essentieller Zwischenschritt im Biosyntheseweg von Cardiolipin und ein mitochondrial-spezifisches Phospholipid, das die Membranintegrität und -aktivitäten des Organells reguliert. PGP katalysiert die Bildung von Phosphatidylglycerin aus Phosphatidylglycerophosphat.
