Endonuklease III-ähnliches Protein 1 ist ein Enzym, das beim Menschen durch das NTHL1-Gen kodiert wird. Das durch dieses Gen kodierte Protein ist eine DNA-N-Glykosylase der Endonuklease-III-Familie. Wie ein ähnliches Protein in E. coli hat das kodierte Protein DNA-Glykosylase-Aktivität auf DNA-Substraten, die oxidierte Pyrimidinreste enthalten, und hat Apurin-/Apyrimidin-Lyase-Aktivität.
