Proteinphosphatase 1-regulatorische Untereinheit 14C ist ein Enzym, das beim Menschen vom PPP1R14C-Gen kodiert wird. Der Grad der Proteinkontrolle wird durch ein Gleichgewicht von Proteinkinase- und Phosphatase-Aktivitäten reguliert. Proteinphosphatase-1 (PP1; siehe MIM 176875) ist eine Signaltransduktionsphosphatase, die die neuronale Aktivität, die Proteinsynthese, den Stoffwechsel, die Muskelkontraktion und die Zellteilung beeinflusst. PPP1R14C ist ein Inhibitor von PP1.
