Integrin alpha-V ist ein Protein, das beim Menschen durch das ITGAV-Gen kodiert wird. Es ist ein Mitglied der Beta-3-Integrin-Unterfamilie (Cytoadhäsine). Der menschliche Locus für das av-Gen (VNRA) wurde zuvor auf den langen Arm von Chromosom 2 kartiert. Sims et al. (2000) lokalisierten das VNRA-Gen auf 2q31. Das Gen enthält 30 Exons und erstreckt sich über 93 kb genomische DNA. Es fungiert als Rezeptor für eine Gruppe von Proteinen, zu denen Vitronectin, Fibrinogen, Thrombospondin und der Von-Willebrand-Faktor gehören.
