Product Description
Chemokin (C-C-Motiv) Ligand 7 (CCL7) ist ein kleines Zytokin, das als Chemokin bekannt ist und früher als Monozyten-spezifisches Chemokin 3 (MCP3) bezeichnet wurde. Es gehört zur C-C-Chemokin-Familie. Durch Fluoreszenz-in-situ-Hybridisierung wird das MCP3-Gen auf Chromosom 17q11.2-q12 kartiert. MCP3 wurde als physiologisches Substrat der Gelatinase A identifiziert. Gespaltenes MCP3 bindet an CC-Chemokin-Rezeptoren-1, -2 und -3, induziert aber keine Kalziumflüsse mehr oder fördert die Chemotaxis, sondern fungiert stattdessen als allgemeiner Chemokin-Antagonist, der Entzündungen dämpft. Es wurde festgestellt, dass Matrix-Metalloproteinasen sowohl Effektoren als auch Regulatoren der Entzündungsreaktion sind.
