Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein. A pseudogene corresponding to this gene is found on chromosome 1p.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57660897558868,"sku":"ABM192842","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57660897591636,"sku":"ABM192843","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57660897624404,"sku":"ABM192844","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-c6d5525322a7614b81b4e2b0bb9bc32d0dbbac69e6adc9a26f5b6a5242be7047.jpg?v=1792159035","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/products\/abm192842","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
