LIM domains are highly conserved cysteine-rich structures containing 2 zinc fingers. Although zinc fingers usually function by binding to DNA or RNA, the LIM motif probably mediates protein-protein interactions. LIM kinase-1 and LIM kinase-2 belong to a small subfamily with a unique combination of 2 N-terminal LIM motifs and a C-terminal protein kinase domain. LIMK1 is a serine\/threonine kinase that regulates actin polymerization via phosphorylation and inactivation of the actin binding factor cofilin. This protein is ubiquitously expressed during development and plays a role in many cellular processes associated with cytoskeletal structure. This protein also stimulates axon growth and may play a role in brain development. LIMK1 hemizygosity is implicated in the impaired visuospatial constructive cog\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57661428105556,"sku":"ABM184081","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57661428138324,"sku":"ABM184082","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57661428171092,"sku":"ABM184083","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-7855573f9e3e53dfd29f280b2b3503ad1a15efcea61643ce33fe4e4476a29718.jpg?v=1792158970","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/products\/abm184081","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
