{"product_id":"abm158116","title":"COX10 Polyclonal Antibody","description":"\u003ch3\u003eBackground\u003c\/h3\u003e\u003cp\u003eCytochrome c oxidase (COX), the terminal component of the mitochondrial respiratory chain, catalyzes the electron transfer from reduced cytochrome c to oxygen. This component is a heteromeric complex consisting of 3 catalytic subunits encoded by mitochondrial genes and multiple structural subunits encoded by nuclear genes. The mitochondrially-encoded subunits function in electron transfer, and the nuclear-encoded subunits may function in the regulation and assembly of the complex. COX10 encodes heme A: farnesyltransferase, which is not a structural subunit but required for the expression of functional COX and functions in the maturation of the heme A prosthetic group of COX. COX10, heme A: farnesyltransferase cytochrome c oxidase assembly factor is predicted to contain 7-9 transmembrane domains localized in the mitochondrial inner membrane. A gene mutation, which results in the substitution of a lysine for an asparagine (N204K), is identified to be responsible for cytochrome c oxidase deficiency. In addition, this gene is disrupted in patients with CMT1A (Charcot-Marie-Tooth type 1A) duplication and with HNPP (hereditary neuropathy with liability to pressure palsies) deletion.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57659968913748,"sku":"ABM158116","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57659968946516,"sku":"ABM158117","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57659968979284,"sku":"ABM158118","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-25fb5546257fa975528e530f0f56b2433cfba45dc759614f722f4e4462f38a5c.jpg?v=1792157347","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/products\/abm158116","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
