There, it interacts with the cytoskeleton through the associated cytoplasmic catenin proteins. In addition to being a calcium-dependent adhesion molecule, E-Cadherin is also a critical regulator of epithelial junction formation. Its association with catenins is necessary for cell-cell adhesion. These E-cadherin\/catenin complexes associate with corical actin bundles at both the zonula adherens and the lateral adhesion plaques. Tyrosine phosphorylation can disrupt these complexes, leading to changes in cell adhesion properties. E-Cadherin expression is often down-regulated in highly invasive, poorly differentiated carcinomas. Increased expression of E-Cadherin in these cells reduces invasiveness. Thus, loss of expression or function of E-Cadherin appears to be an important step in tumorigenic progression.Tissue specificity: Non-neural epithelial tissues.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"100μL","offer_id":57660762259796,"sku":"ABM201291","price":205.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50μL","offer_id":57660762292564,"sku":"ABM201292","price":141.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-5325289f573691b900c76ab0a6490d6bf2766ddca481528e18e0847c1cd59a9b.jpg?v=1792159022","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/fr\/products\/abm201291","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
