Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein. The gene is biallelically expressed, despite its location within a region of imprinted genes on chromosome 11.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57660876849492,"sku":"ABM192815","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57660876882260,"sku":"ABM192816","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57660876915028,"sku":"ABM192817","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-e249af2353dc54607eeea8949419a591fbfed5f9cdf8d4ba4e153231c35bc508.jpg?v=1792159034","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/fr\/products\/abm192815","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
