Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. This gene encodes a 39S subunit protein that belongs to the EcoL2 ribosomal protein family. A pseudogene corresponding to this gene is found on chromosome 12q. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57660872491348,"sku":"ABM192809","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57660872524116,"sku":"ABM192810","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57660872556884,"sku":"ABM192811","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-1ea4c7287cbfdf5088445786c5a5187a69f59f2a2d1db38ede993084a9fd9773.jpg?v=1792241051","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/fr\/products\/abm192809","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
