Mitochondrial ribosomes (mitoribosomes) consist of a small 28S subunit and a large 39S subunit. They have an estimated 75% protein to rRNA composition compared to prokaryotic ribosomes, where this ratio is reversed. Another difference between mammalian mitoribosomes and prokaryotic ribosomes is that the latter contain a 5S rRNA. Among different species, the proteins comprising the mitoribosome differ greatly in sequence, and sometimes in biochemical properties, which prevents easy recognition by sequence homology. MRPL39 (mitochondrial ribosomal protein L39) encodes a 39S subunit protein. Two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been described. A pseudogene corresponding to MRPL39 is found on chromosome 5q.\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57660469444948,"sku":"ABM168424","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57660469477716,"sku":"ABM168425","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57660469510484,"sku":"ABM168426","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-7d4b975737d768dec67ce57f383ff84f4331044bc9842f7ecc903a4564fc56ed.jpg?v=1792158849","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/fr\/products\/abm168424","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
