It is a multi-subunit enzyme complex that couples the transfer of electrons from cytochrome c to molecular oxygen and contributes to a proton electrochemical gradient across the inner mitochondrial membrane. The complex consists of 13 mitochondrial- and nuclear-encoded subunits. The mitochondrially-encoded subunits perform the electron transfer and proton pumping activities. The functions of the nuclear-encoded subunits are unknown but they may play a role in the regulation and assembly of the complex. This gene encodes the nuclear-encoded subunit IV isoform 1 of the human mitochondrial respiratory chain enzyme. It is located at the 3' of the NOC4 (neighbor of COX4) gene in a head-to-head orientation, and shares a promoter with it. Pseudogenes related to this gene are located on chromosomes\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57661519462740,"sku":"ABM198585","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57661519495508,"sku":"ABM198586","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57661519528276,"sku":"ABM198587","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-c1ef3279a369a4131419fece33c2f8f9863458f656b06e45632ba872aa72db74.jpg?v=1792158949","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/es\/products\/abm198585","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
