Gram-negative bacteria contain a glycolipid, lipopolysaccharide (LPS), on their outer cell wall. Together with bactericidal permeability-increasing protein (BPI), the encoded protein binds LPS and interacts with the CD14 receptor, probably playing a role in regulating LPS-dependent monocyte responses. Studies in mice suggest that the encoded protein is necessary for the rapid acute-phase response to LPS but not for the clearance of LPS from circulation. This protein is part of a family of structurally and functionally related proteins, including BPI, plasma cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP), and phospholipid transfer protein (PLTP).\u003c\/p\u003e","brand":"BT LAB","offers":[{"title":"20ul","offer_id":57660065120596,"sku":"ABM166576","price":69.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"50ul","offer_id":57660065153364,"sku":"ABM166577","price":115.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true},{"title":"100ul","offer_id":57660065186132,"sku":"ABM166578","price":176.0,"currency_code":"GBP","in_stock":true}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/1040\/1782\/2036\/files\/btlab-7eaba953545f559208ecb4d21bb2d09ca8e968b02db014a2a7826881857946a6.jpg?v=1792158871","url":"https:\/\/www.abmium.com\/de\/products\/abm166576","provider":"ABMIUM","version":"1.0","type":"link"}
